Dr. Kumar's Diabetes & Lifestyle Clinic

Dr. Rakesh Kumar is founder of the Dr. Kumar’s Diabetes & Lifestyle Clinic. Dr. Kumar has completed his MBBS from Bankura Sammilani Medical College & Hospital which is one of the oldest and prestigious Government Medical College of West Bengal. He received his MD degree in Community Medicine from the same college. Dr. Kumar has received many certificates in diabetes management namely Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Endocrinology & Diabetes (RCP, UK), International Diabetes Federation recognized Certificate Course in Evidence Based Management of Diabetes and many more.  At present he is Professor & Head of the department of Community Medicine at IQ City Medical College, Durgapur.

Dr. Kumar is a well-known researcher and has more than 25 international and national publications in the field of diabetes. He is also Assistant Secretary & Research Wing Head of “Diabetes Awareness & You (DAY)-a social welfare organization” and Executive Member of “Bengal Diabetes Foundation (BDF).

Dr. Kumar is one of the most reputed and leading Diabetologist of Durgapur, Bankura and adjoining cities with an experience of more than 12 years. His special interests and expertise include prevention, diagnosis and managing diabetes and its complications like diabetic kidney diseases, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic foot disease, diabetic neuropathy etc.
